GREED - SEVEN DEADLY SIN

There is too much temptation in the world, how could one say no? But God tells us no, and when He says no, He means no. Alas, many of us are tempted to take anyway, to listen to that little green serpent who says, “go ahead, try your luck!” Ah, the things we will do to climb these tall mountains, the people we will step on, the hearts we will break like shattered Champagne flutes along the way! And as we pierce the hearts, painful glass splinters cause us to cry out, though with the dollar signs in our ears and eyes, we do not hear, we do not see. We continue on, boldly and with brash manner we taunt God, who has always provided in abundance. Even so, we want more. Evil creeps in on his belly into our soul. The Devil destroying our sense of judgement between good and evil. The women wait on the top of the mountain with Jesus, willing Him to live. This is their singular prayer. Because He is God’s Son, He does return on the third day, in accordance with the scriptures. But the money in the casinos is wasted, gone forever. The life you worked so hard to build, it burns, a scarlet fire with black plumes of choking smoke and licking hot flames from Hell. Soon the snake has grown so big that you’ve become the greedy Devil. Soon you’ll forget that all you had to do was trust in the Grace of God, meet Him half way, and He will always provide.
