SLOTH - SEVEN DEADLY SIN

There are only a few hours of daylight, and those who chose to spend it idly waste the gift God has given us of our limited number of years on earth. Are you bored? Is your mind empty? If you continue to spend your days like this, any hope of fulfillment from the natural world will soon slip away forever. The vast, open space of time will suck itself around you, closing your outer conditions tight around your inner being. The demons of Sloth will stick their fingers into your soul and weave their hands into your ribcage, pushing you down into depression, anxiety, guilt, and fear. A black hopelessness that will be impossible to rise above. It is an ugly curse to be lazy, to dribble the luxuries of rest into a distilled constant horizontal state. There is however the glowing, blue Hope of the Virgin. As she casts her light onto those who have befallen into eternal bedrest and boredom, she offers her hands out. The faces of the demons glow darkly under her holy shadow. Pray for the strength to have the courage to face the world. You must start. You must begin to elevate yourself through God’s help. It is the only way.
